For many students, this was their first time flying on a plane and leaving Western Australia, making the trip even more exciting and meaningful. Over the week, students explored some of Australia’s most significant landmarks and institutions. Highlights included visits to Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, the Museum of Australian Democracy (Old Parliament House), the Royal Mint, Questacon, the National Museum of Australia, the High Court and the Australian Institute of Sport.
In Sydney, students enjoyed seeing the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Jewish Museum, the Maritime Museum and Sydney Eye, soaking up the sights of one of Australia’s most iconic cities. Each day was packed with engaging tours, hands-on learning, and plenty of memorable moments shared with friends and teachers.
This incredible experience would not have been possible without the generous support of our camp sponsors. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our local businesses and community members who contributed through our camp sponsorship program. Your kindness helped make it possible for students to attend — giving them the chance to experience learning beyond the classroom and see the nation’s capital for the first time.
