Jerramungup Judging Standards

Jerramungup District High school  provided this document to assist parents in understanding how grades are allocated and the significance of each grade in relation to their child’s overall performance. The subject areas outlines are English (Reading, Writing, Speaking/Listening), Mathematics (Number & Algebra, Measurement & Geometry, Statistics & Probability), Humanities and Social Sciences (Year 3-10), and Science (Year 3 -10).

These documents aim to:

  • Understand how your child’s performance compares to the expected standard.
  • Help understand progress across the year level and between.
  • Effective communication with teachers. Being informed about the curriculum enables parents to engage in meaningful discussions with teachers about their child’s performance and learning needs.
  • Support learning at home and goal setting. Knowing the standards can help parents provide appropriate support and resources at home. Parents can also set realistic goals for their child.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses. Understanding the judging standards allows parents to identify areas where their child excels or may need additional support.

If you have any questions about your child’s grade, performance or about this document, please contact your child’s teacher.
